Honest to Goodness Burritos
Corner of 15th and K Streets
Washington, DC |
 |
"Honest to Goodness Burritos" is a burrito stand that operates near
the southeast corner of 15th and K Streets in Washington, DC. Imagine the taste it takes to attract queues of 8 to 12 people in line on
the sidewalk every workday lunchtime in weather either hot or cold in the land of DC's K Street lobbyists
and lawyers. The first time I saw that line of folks, I figured this had to be good, and I've been coming
back ever since. I'm partial to a cilantro/jalapeno tortilla with mixed cheddar and monterey jack, black beans, rice, salsa,
and sour cream. Recently, I've been favoring Western Gunslinger hot sauce but Patti's "something different"
always suggests a new alternative. There's always an interesting new choice to please. Many times,
once a week is not enough.
