Reader Submissions Australia Taqueria: Comments: Central Mexican Lady's Taquito Booth Aboriginal Survival Day Concert Bondi Oval, Bondi Beach NSW, Australia The nice Central Mexican lady's taquito booth at the Aboriginal Survival Day Concert at Bondi Oval, Bondi Beach, NSW, Australia. (Unfortunately, this event is only held on Australia Day, January 26...) While it's a nice place, the best (and only palatable) Mexican food that I have found here in Australia was at that booth. I have had my hopes dashed so many times by trying "Mexican" restaurants throughout Eastern Australia it's not funny. I am glad that the Oklahoman found a decent burrito in Melbourne. I will keep looking and will report back if anything pans out... there are a few very expensive Mexican places in Sydney, but $20 per entree wouldn't exactly qualify as a taqueria. Maybe it's that equatorial thing that makes the water flow in the opposite direction... Does this (or the pity factor) qualify me for a t-shirt????
