Los Cuates
Albuquerque, NM
The best Burritos and Mexican food in the world are in New Mexico. In Albuquerque I reccomend Los Cuates, Sadies, Gardunos (not the airport), Taco Sal, The Frontier and many others. Santa Fe also has many places to enjoy a little burro.

Acapulco Tacos and Burritos
Albuquerque, NM
Acapulco Tacos and Burritos in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The carne adovada burrito with extra cheese is simply heaven. I am a fat watcher but when it comes to one of these (especially when we have had too much wine the previous evening) well it is, "Jenny bar the doors for me to get to Acapulco Tacos!" The tiny establishment had been a mainstay of Albuquerque for decades, never gets bigger, stays in the same location, and looks like a feeding frenzy for cockroaches (but is actually very sanitary!) They have a full menu of burritos, tacos, and enchiladas. I have traveled the world, stayed in the best hotels, and eaten in the finest establishments -- you can have all that if you just give me my Acapulco Carne Adovado Burrito.

Lovington, NM
Burger Builders on D street in Lovington, New Mexico. They have something called the 'Dusty Deen Special' on Thursdays. Its 2 burritos for only $1. This is an cool special because its named after me and they are some damn good burritos.

Los Cuates
4901 Lomas NE
Albuquerque, NM
NO rice, sour cream or foo foo found here. The Carne Adovada Burrito or the Carne Adovada Sopapilla is famous. The Los Cuates New Mexico Salsa (red or green) is not for gringo sissies!

Their Chunky Chicken Burrito smothered in green chile sauce with cheese and a dollop of sour cream is to die for.
