¡Burritos! Hot on the Trail of the Little Burro


	Reader Submissions Free Verse I am pacing back and forth in front of your rolling heaven of joy "Let me see" I utter A lovely lilting latina voice playfully mocks "let me see" I scowl in pretend anger and you throw back your head/laugh and every firework in the world is ignited My burrito so lovingly made you hand it to me with eyes of white-hot sensuality it is I who turns away blushing to the gods - Scott Denny Doth not the sun set in the west? Doth not certain stars burn more intensely than their peers? Likewise, the burrito dominates all other foods in ruthless competition. Yea, thou knowest it is so. When the mighty Burrito doth reveal it's mighty face upon lesser foods, all are vanquished. Eating a burrito is as if God himself was looking down from heaven and smiling upon me. He doth look at me in quivering anticipation. Stateth he, "You are my most wonderous creation." Being the mightiest of creations, the Burrito can be compared unto the Lion in its hunt. The mighty, noble lion lies in wait to attack helpless lesser beasts. Likewise, the burrito waits with anticipation to attack one's taste buds with unparalleled fury. The intense flavor that then ushers into one's mouth is so divine, one will ne'er look to other foods for similar pleasure again. Just as the burning desire for a woman consumes us all, so doth that for a burrito. When thou hungerests for that which can quench thine endless hunger and fill thyself until thou sayest "Nay", thou knowest from whence to turn. Thou shalt lookest to the Burrito, and thou shalt be well satisfied. Thine hunger shall be smited in the malice of the majestic Burrito. The lesser foods that pale the Burrito in like comparison doth contain a severe jealousy unto that mighty Burrito. Say they, “Thou art mightier than both mine brother and I. Thou doth more than rival mine flavor to an infinite degree. I shalt give up.” This be the decree of lesser foods. Yes, my friends, yes. The burrito is mighty. When thou decidest upon an item to consume into thine belly in the eventide, thou shalt surely give a loud and resounding “Yea” when thou thinkest of that divine food that beest the Mexicans creation.
